Tom Eisenberg, Ph.D.
Dr. Tom Eisenberg received his doctorate in clinical psychology in 2002 from the California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant University) with a specialization in Health Psychology. He has conducted research in the areas of grief, bereavement, phobias and medical compliance. Dr. Eisenberg’s interest in health psychology has led him to develop a professional interest in the assessment and treatment of chronic and regional pain syndromes, unexplained physical symptoms, psychological aspects of medical illness, and severe trauma.
Dr. Eisenberg’s personal manner has been described as kind, warm, and casual. He is aware that counseling can feel scary and even threatening to a client. He makes an extra effort to create safety and trust with all clients throughout treatment. According to Dr. Eisenberg those who participate in therapy may develop increased psychological insight, a greater capacity for intimate relating, and an increased capacity to tolerate stress.
