James Sturges, Ph.D.
James Sturges received his doctorate in clinical psychology in 1994 from the University of Alabama with a specialization in clinical child psychology. Currently, he has 16 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters to his credit. Dr. Sturgis has given over 50 conference presentations, invited addresses, newsletter articles, on topics such as children’s disorders and health-related issues. He is a tenured Associate Professor at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California.
Dr. Sturgis offers caring individual and family therapy for emotional, behavioral, and relationship issues. He has training and supervised experience working with a variety of clients with grief, chronic pain, families raising children with emotional, attitudinal, developmental, and learning difficulties, and couples with relationship issues or sexual dysfunction. He has successfully treated clients with depression, phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, and a variety of other conditions.
